Our Mission

At V Sugendran Educational & Social Upliftment Foundation, our mission is to transform the lives of underprivileged youth living in Bangalore’s slums by equipping them with skills, opportunities, and confidence to step into a brighter future.

We believe that where a child is born should not determine what they can achieve. Unfortunately, many young people in slum communities grow up with limited access to quality education, digital resources, and career pathways. This cycle of poverty and lack of opportunity often forces them into low-income, unstable jobs with little hope for advancement.

Our mission is to break this cycle by focusing on three key pillars:

1. Digital Empowerment

We provide free computer training to ensure that every youth we work with has the basic digital literacy required to survive in today’s technology-driven world. From typing and MS Office to internet safety and digital payments, we give them the foundation to participate in the modern economy.

2. Career-Ready Skills

Through our Java Coding Bootcamps, we go beyond the basics. These intensive, hands-on programs teach programming concepts, project development, and workplace readiness. Our mentorship and placement support help students secure real jobs in IT and related industries — turning learners into earners.

3. Community Upliftment

We know that change is not just about individuals, but about communities. That’s why we run social uplift initiatives like hygiene awareness drives, women empowerment workshops, digital payment kiosks, and counselling sessions for both students and parents. These programs create healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.

Our Services

Java Coding Bootcamp

• A 12-week intensive program focused on Java programming, software development, and project-based learning.

• Includes GitHub workflows, teamwork, and interview preparation to make students job-ready.

• Career support through resume building, mock interviews, and placement drives with industry partners.

Our services are not just about teaching skills — they are about creating opportunities, building dignity, and enabling youth to break free from cycles of poverty.

Computer Literacy Training

• Free training in basic computer skills, including MS Office, typing, and internet usage.

• Guidance on digital safety and online payments, ensuring participants can safely use technology in daily life.

• Practical, hands-on classes conducted in local community centres inside slum clusters.

Social Uplift Initiatives

• Health & Hygiene Drives – awareness campaigns, sanitation kit distribution, and workshops.

• Women Empowerment Programs – skill training, digital literacy for women, and small business guidance.

• Community Career Counselling – connecting youth with career pathways, higher education, and mentorship.

• Digital Inclusion Projects – setting up kiosks for online services like payments, government schemes, and job portals.

Our Projects

At V Sugendran Educational & Social Upliftment Foundation, our projects focus on education, digital empowerment, and community upliftment. Each project is designed to address real challenges faced by slum youth and their families in Bangalore.

Project 1: Digital Literacy for All

We set up free computer training centres inside slum communities where youth and women can learn:

• MS Office, typing, internet safety

• Digital transactions and government online services

• Email and online job applications

Impact so far: 500+ students trained in the past year.

Project 2: Java Coding Bootcamp

A 12-week intensive coding course for young adults who want to break into the IT sector. The bootcamp covers:

• Java programming, project development, Git & teamwork

• Real-world assignments guided by volunteer mentors

• Resume workshops and mock interviews

Impact so far: 95% of graduates found internships or jobs within 6 months.

Project 3: Women Empowerment Circles

Workshops and training programs designed especially for women in slum communities. These circles focus on:

• Basic computer literacy

• Small business training and digital payments

• Health, hygiene, and financial awareness

Impact so far: 300+ women have started using digital tools for family and business needs.

Project 4: Community Uplift Drives

We go beyond classrooms to improve quality of life through:

• Hygiene awareness campaigns & distribution of kits

• Career counselling sessions for students and parents

• Digital kiosks for online services in local markets

Impact so far: 10+ communities engaged across Bangalore.

Project 5: Mentorship & Alumni Network

Graduates of our programs get continuous support through:

• Mentorship sessions with IT professionals

• Alumni peer groups for job referrals

• Guidance for higher education opportunities

Impact so far: Alumni network of 150+ active members.
